Opening his laptop slightly to leave it on, Sungazer shot a venomous look at Audra before putting a friendly disposition. He pulled out a business card, but realizing that it only had his logo on it, he quickly wrote "Sungazer" on the back, then placed it on the table.
"Hello, my name's Sungazer. I'm a professional graphic artist, video game designer, and programmer of sorts. You'll find all of that information on my website."

"Do I?" Damon smiled. "I do hope those reminders are a good thing. I'm not so fond of crowds myself. I like my human interaction in smaller groups."
"Well, Miss Tovildt, you'll forgive me if at times I stonewall you. All I can say is, of most of the rumours you may have heard, the answer to nine out of ten of them is Yes. Yes, a small personality test is administered, yes, you are set loose in our facility to find your own way, to a degree, and yes, 'Legendary' pokemon do call our island home. I would not suggest seeking them out aggressively, though. There is no way on heaven or earth one could MAKE the likes of them into a partner. Some HAVE left with trainers...but it was THEIR choice, as far as we know, and since most pokemon cannot communicate, their reasons are theirs alone."
"Oh, I remember MY trip through..." Tia adds wistfully, he Southern Belle voice captivating people not even in the conversation. "Such a learning experience. Including a few lessons that should have been obvious. Like never wear your Sunday best on an expedition. Then again, if I hadn't wound up tangled in that tree I might not have met my number one..."
"They sent me to the Haunted House! Amity joined me because he was confused he wasn't scaring me." Sadako adds.
"And rumour has it our Mr. Marshall simply sat and meditated until his first came to him. Isn't that right, Simon?" Poplar elbowed the wild-haired man.
"Yes and no, Doctor. Yes, my partner came to me..." <But he was not meditating...he fell asleep.> The hooded mewtwo finished. "Sera!" <Come now, Simon. Surely someone as laid back as yourself can stand to be the subject of a joke?> "I wouldn't have put it like THAT, though..."

Audra held her hand out to shake each member's in turn. She took on a very formal countenance as she spoke to them. "Good evening, gentlemen, ladies. My name is Audra Tovildt, eldest daughter of Henry Tovildt III. I would like to inquire about a few curiosities I have with the League, if you do not mind."
She flipped open her little notepad and her pen. "Dr. Poplar, a few of my associates and I were a bit concerned as to the process that will be used to partner the trainer with the Pokemon. Is there anything you could say to elaborate on the process?"

He went and got the soda and came back to where they were sitting, and sat down. He placed the soda down next to Koda, and sat down. He didn't say anything so they can both form they're own opinions about her playing. Each band only got to play three songs, but hopefully that would be enough.
When the songs ended he looked at the other two to gauge their reaction. "So what did you guys think? Good enough for a closer look?" A couple minutes later his phone rang, it was Krissy. "Yeah, come on up, we should still be here."

Adaeus took out the sword that he kept for just these instances, and sunk the blade deep into the element, and pulled it out quickly it being replaced by more fire. "This probably isn't good. We probably shouldn't attack it anymore."But it was too late, as the wounded man quickly shoved the blade of his axe in the element. It grew bigger and exploded on the man. He smelt a strong smell of burnt clothes and some flesh. Adaeus, quickly ran over to him, and pulled off his helmet. "Human..." he murmured to Cyrn. "...he needs a medic, this might hold him over until then." He pulled out a potion that was meant to help heal smaller wounds, and opened the man's lips and poured it down. He woke up and sputtered a bit. "Yeah it's probably a bit strong for ye. But it should heal ya just fine." Adaeus said. "You can rest for a bit, but we can't stay too long." he turned to Cyrn. "Think we should help him out. We could probably find a medic at the next outpost."
"If so, I should get him something to eat, he'll need his strength if he's to walk with us." He pulled his bow and an arrow from his back, and disappeared into the woods away from the village.

Re: Summer Vacation (Smith & Shar) « Result #8 on Nov 25, 2009, 8:36pm »
The jumpship landed in Shade and Smith thought it best to leave the craft invisible. So they wouldn't be seen getting out of a Mercs inc. craft. He grabbed Shar's hand and smiled but shortly after that it disappeared. They went down an alley quickly to come back out visible. Unfortunately this part of shade held too many people in it, too high risk of bumping into somebody. But they came out of the alley and Smith gave a disgusted look at the jumpship after somebody saw the both of them. "What the hell did they want." Smith spat out as though he had an attitude against them. "Just a dropoff"...he turned toward Shar "Well hello there sweet thing my name is..." Smith cut him off short. "Careful this one's dangerous. She put the last guy that came onto her in the hospital, and she's not in a good mood right now." he replied, so Shar didn't have to speak.
They kept going after that to hear more cat calls and whistles. One almost crossed the line, but Smith was reminded of more pressing matters, and kept walking. Shortly they were in front of Carter's door. Smith knocked a certain way letting him know it was him. The door opened and Carter pulled them in quickly. "Carter, my god it's good to see you. How have you been all these years? By the way this is my girlfriend Shar."
Carter grinned at the site of them. "So you do remember how to fit in. Carter sported his usual black hair styled in his way, and leather jacket made him seem like a thug, but really it was mostly a ruse.

Nisha listened to everything that was said and she had even made note within her sketch pad and a long with some quick sketches of all the Elites and Dr. Poplar. She was content at the table as she really didn't like crowds especially the one that was around the Elites. She would just ask Audra on what she had found out if she was willing to tell.
Looking around and just watching all the people before she thought she could brave all the people. But right that second she wasn't watching the Elites.
"Good evening to you as well," she replied as she turned her to see who was adressing them and was sorta in shock it had been Damon. Then being asked a question about her watching him she got very nervous and flushtered. "Umm, you remind me of someone, but I can't put my finger on it," she replied truthfully. "And I would have come over to your table but I'm not use to so many people around." She said motionting to all the people that made her feel weard and her longing for home much more. "Also you just remind me of home as well," she add tho a little more sheepishly at saying this, but it was all so very true.

The crowds have thinned, most just wanting to gush over them, leaving them to relax at their own table, easily accessible, while people go back to the food and festivities...except one of them isn't AT the table...
"Good Evening." Damon had found his way away from the chaos to approach our table, addressing Nesha. "Is there a reason you were watching so intently?" He's not accusing...he's genuinely curious.

"Hmm, not to make friends or enemies? That saves me the trouble of having to interact with the commoners."
He returned to his table, unceremoniously left the food there, and gathered up his familiar and the moloch. Holding the moloch in front of him while moving into the crowd, some moved away from the spiny reptile. When he was close enough, he put the moloch away as if it were not living, and allowed his familiar to sit on his head.
"Grrr..." he growled. A moment later, he put on his sunny disposition again as he prepared to greet the officials.

"If...if you are sure this is where to want me to be, I wont complain."
It was different, now that the medication was weearing off and she was able to see his face and that stange determination there in his eyes. This wasn't Richard, this wasn't his accident and her supposedly 'smothering' him with attention while he was trying to recouperate. Time, and distance, that was what he had said they needed and of course distance only meant he could find someone else and break her heart a little easier. If there was one thing he hadn't been able to stand, it was her crying. Even after Brad...and dealing with her injuries and trying to be the knight on the white horse...
Cupping his cheek gently, trying to make sure not to aggrivate any bandages or anything else she shut her eyes. It wasn't like he was going to let her go anytime soon, not with that growl that she had heard and definitely not with the sweet low words he was singing to her.
No, he wasn't going to let her go anywhere at all, and that was what was best for her, even if she still wasn't convinced of the same.
"About a day of peace, before he comes in and stirs the pot again..or is he trying to tip itover? Not sure how the metaphor works for this..."
The food mae her stomach growl again and yet, it was the look in the nurses eyes that made her want to laugh. He had been throwing quite the little fit about her, from her not being in the room to the state she was in when she came back. The memories were foggy but she remembered seeing himwith the machines ripped off of him and him trying to stand and get out of here simply because she had been left with the phone and the voice on the other line. There was a ring of her cellphone on the side table where it had been placed, that same bluesy song that she still hadn't gotten rid of...mostly because she had been passed out.
Her eyes widened and she shut them, curling into Hikari almost instinctively away from the noise which stopped halfway through its ringing.

"Don't give a damn what they think." Hikaris voice was low and obstinant, fingers curling into her clothes, holding her close to him pondering her words quietly.
"At least we have about another day of peace, and maybe by then I can convince them not to drug me up...though I suppose I did sort of ask for it yesterday didn't I?"
The nurse caught his attention, and he smiled nodding his head even as Lali answered. His eyes met hers, and he stroked one very tube and tape covered hand over her hair. "Nope, you don't gotta move far as I'm concerned Lali. You just stay right here, nice and close. Right where I want you to stay. 'kay?"
He hummed softly under his breath, so low no one but the two of them could hear any of the words coming from his lips now.
"When I see your smile Tears run down my face I can't replace And now that I'm strong I have figured out How this world turns cold and it breaks through my soul And I know I'll find deep inside me I can be the one
I will never let you fall I'll stand up with you forever I'll be there for you through it all Even if saving you sends me to heaven..."
the nurse returned with the trays, and simply set them on the little table to the side, eyes sliding over the pair, but keeping quiet. She'd heard about the fit he'd thrown the day before as injured as he was, and didn't want to rile the patient up bright and early. It seemed safer...quieter that way really.

Audra jotted down notes through the entirety of Dr. Poplar's speech. The teaming intrigued her, "...by your choice or by lotto..." she repeated to herself. Ben made the statement about Marksworth and she couldn't help but giggle. "Statistically, that's be quite the bad luck of the draw, if I don't say so myself. However, we do get to choose as well, perhaps we will have enough people to fill the team slots, so we won't have to deal with the chances of the lotto."
Audra stood, "Now, if you will excuse me, I have a few questions for the Elites and Dr. Poplar." She smiled and made her way to the mob of people around the speaker and the trainers, patiently waiting her turn.

"Now, the rules for our league is different compared to the world this originated from. We have a very large landmass, and 8 Gyms was not enough...the North American League has 17 Gyms...one for each known Pokemon Type, Scattered across the US and Canada as uniformly as possible."
There's murmuring at this.
"Completion of all 17 is not required. However, at least 10 Gym Badges are Necessary. And in the spirit of being truly NORTH American, not 'American', deliberation is in place for a law demanding at least ONE Badge be from a Canadian Gym. This may change to 2, we are uncertain."
"Also, you will not have to try to fight and travel alone. Certain amenities will be given to each trainer...rather, team of trainers. You will be grouped, by your choice or lotto, and provided with a means of travel and some other benefits. The only requirement enforced is that at least ONE member of each group must be licenced to drive."
Ben blinked "They're giving us vehicles? Man, they REALLY want this off the ground!"
"Solo and group challenges await at gyms and 'Pokemon Waystations' around the nation...apart from Badges, other honours and benefits can be obtained. Once 10 Badges are obtained, you will be validated for the league, the right to challenge our Elite Four, and tournaments. Also, special events may be scheduled with additional considerations. I can tell you with some confidence a high-ranking tournament is being scheduled for anyone courageous enough to gather every Badge."
"Tomorrow we will make dock at Napple Island, where you will be registered, grouped, and given your first pokemon...well, that last part is a lie. No doubt you've heard rumours. Almost all of them are true. We do have testing methods, and you are sent out into our multi-environment preserve to befriend a partner yourself. More detail on that will come when you arrive."
"I'm afraid there isn't much more to tell. So eat, drink and be merry...for tomorrow, we divide you. Try not to make friends or enemies too fast...you may find yourself across from or alongside them in combinations you dislike! Good evening, trainers-to-be, and enjoy your ride."
Ben scoffs as he steps down. "Put us on one of the most social atmospheres on earth and tell us not to interact...Biologist, he is, but human nature, he knows zilch. Crap, now I'm having nightmares of having to work with Mr. Wipes-With-Hundreds..."
Things become informal quickly, as Dr. Poplar and the Elites are quickly set upon.

She had been sleeping soundly and for once he didnt mind that he wasn't going to be going anywhere. She needed the guardian, and the sleep and it seemed that even his car was working out even against his better judgment. Charlie in the back clicking away at the game, being very quiet after her first outburst and behind her on the bed were the kittens, in a kitten-pile, cuddling and purring their evil little souls away as they plotted in their sleep.
The gag brought him back to the real world though, and he was smooth and quick to take his bookmark and slide it into his page, looking up at her with worried eyes and trying to asses the situation. The cat looked mildly agitated as it seemed to know that she was going to attempt to move her...but the cat was heavy enough to have something to say about that.
"Brae?" Drawling again, maybe it was just the medication that made it seem like he had a bit of honey in his throat. "Something you need?"
Brows narrowing..."Water? Juice? Another pill?" He checked his watch just incase that was her answer.

"Cel is...Cel. He's like the guys that never get into work, that aren't even considered for the opportunity. Nothing about him is wrong place...wrong time... He is always there at your wrong time, not his."
Shivering a little as the wound was touched, sensitive but nowhere near the screaming pain that she had been in beforehand. Eyes weary and looking to him. How could anyone be afraid of that face again? How could she have mistaked him from the monster of her past? All it took was the reminder of the sweat that had covered her hair and skin, and the edge of that medication to let her know.
His words though, gave her the opportunity for a well timed hiss of a breath drawn in through her teeth. "I'll be fine...back to work in no time, though maybe with a scrunchie or something..."
Looking to her clock next to the bed though she groaned, looking to him pathetically. "Were you busy? Sleeping? Tv? Project? Anything? I...I didn't mean to interupt..."
Said the woman to her houseguest...one of TWO houseguests...nevermind the confusion of his grandmother who looked, like, no more than five years older than him. Then again, bad judge of age. Fey, remember Bloss? Fey. Different ages, different everything. Remember how old you are compared to Cel? Her eyes narrowed and she sat up a little easier on the bed, a kneel curling to her chest.
"I...heard about how you reacted to waht happened in the work room, so...lets just say that Cel might turn you into the meanest dragon kin that ever existed? If he wasn't fascinated with you though." Gazing over him a moment, focusing on those offcolor eyes with muted interest and a playful smile. "Though, how he couldnt...anyway, Cel was...is the reason I left home...cause...I don't have home there, my plans, my life, nothing but what he wanted for me was ahead so...I ran. Here. Stupid really."
Re: Hikari & Lali « Result #21 on Nov 12, 2009, 6:18am »
Her dreams left her eyes foggy and slightly unfocused, but she was busier with the war of her stomach and her nerves than most anything else. No matter how close she had been able to get while she was asleep, a part of her still felt like he was minute by minute slipping farther away. It was almost as if the longer she spent with him there in that room, the panic rationalized. that he would pull farther and farther away until she was getting calls years down the road that tugged at her heart the same way they did with Richard.
But she did realize one thing as her stomach rumbled again at the mention of food...nothing meant more to her right at that moment of waking up then the sleepy drone of Hikari's voice that seemed to have no intent of her getting far away from him at all. Unfocused eyes watched her shaky hand caress his cheek once more while internally she was being screamed at by that panic to get away before he pulled away. Rather large doe eyes looked up to him, more interested in his question than most anything else.
How was she? A smile crept it's way unsteadily onto her lips, daring her to be brave as her cellphone and the call the other day were laced underneath the heavy haze of sleep deprivation and the heavy onset of medication they had given her.
"Loved...."
Her eyes shut a moment, a tear rolling down her cheek that more than likely had more to do with teh fact that she had slept heavily than anything else. She seemed weak, with worry and fret and panic, as she lay there beside him.
" But I don't think they want me here like this, mm?" She motioned to the sleeper chair, blanket and pillows that were sitting and waiting for her like a rather demanding gift should. It wasn't that they wanted her comfortable, they wanted her out of the way and her boss wanted her comfortable. Her cheeks flushed deeply and she looked down, pulling her hand to her chest and curling it there innocently. "Senor Jerkface...will probably be getting in sometime tonight...I think..." Looking at the clock and nodding rather feebly. "But...I dont think we should expect him for dinner...."
She chewed on her lip a moment, struggling to roll without moving him to terribly much, and a meek sounding voice, sweet but so weak asking if a tray could be brought to the room. The nurse was nice enough to mention that it was around mealtime so two could be sent in if the patient was feeling up to eating. It didn't matter what she said then, people were awake, two trays were coming and she nestled back into him feebly, enjoying whatever moments she could before her inhibitions moved her away completely.

"Oh, that makes me happy," Audra smiled up at the Elite Four and clapped politely as they were announced. "I was wondering if we were going to be able to have our own Elites."
She took a small pad of paper and a pen from the insides of her suit coat. She jotted down the names of the Elite Four and each one's type mastery. "Oh there is so much to learn!" She excitedly spoke to herself. "I will have to speak with each one." She looked up at them again and smiled her signature smile as she waited patiently for the primer to begin.

Just wanted to let you all know Ridley and I are still alive and kicking. Had some stuff come up that kept us busy (and stressing) for awhile. Things haven't calmed down 100% yet, but it's slowly getting there. Our focus has been on r/t, not online needless to say.
Add to that with the holiday season here, Ridley's work schedule has once again become odd, and crazy so he's asleep starting at about 4pm PST to try and get enough sleep before work.

Re: Ballerina Girl (Brae & Boe) « Result #24 on Nov 9, 2009, 9:17pm »
Lap cat plus teddy bear did indeed seem to do the job. Brae slept for a good couple hours solid before she woke up with a start. Not a bad dream really, just an odd one. She'd had the sensation she was falling, and the sudden jolt awake was due to that dream sensation of doing so.
Sleepy blue eyes looked around, and she smiled softly at seeing Boe sitting on the couch reading a book quietly. A faint clicking sound could barely be heard from the back of the house, but she ignored it, happy to watch Boe for a few moments. He seemed to at peace right now.
No one causing him any trouble (her included), no one pestering him in any way...the kittens were sprawled all over her living room it appeared. Boe's cat slumbered on in her lap, and Brae's fingers stroking her fur softly as she shifted just slightly eyes searching for the glass of water she thought she'd had sitting next to her chair, but had apparently left in the kitchen.
Soon enough she'd have to either move to retrieve it herself, or interrupt Boe's peace and ask him to get it for her. The cotton mouth feeling wasn't going away, and she couldn't swallow, her mouth and throat was so dry. To the point that when she did try to swallow she actually began to cough and gag a little much to her dismay.
So much for not disturbing Boe's peace and quiet....
Re: Ballerina Girl (Brae & Boe) « Result #25 on Nov 9, 2009, 9:08pm »
'Tin foil! Never thoughta that.'
Invasive as the cousin was, she was already heading into the kitchen, unaware of Brae deciding now was the best time for her to sucummb to her medicine and actually sleep. He waited for the next lap of the kittens to spread into the kitchen, causing a shriek from his cousin before he pulled a blanket up over Brae and made sure that her legs were supported and propped up.
"You did it again...that sleep energy of yours.."
His words were a little lazy, a drawl spreading into them again as the cat looked up at him before shutting her eyes and settling into a deep purr. She had a lap, she had a blanket, she was warm and therefore not moving and the kittens seemed to be distracted all on their own. Charlie was coming out of the kitchen in time to see Boe putting a finger over his lips and motioning to Brae's chair. Poor girl...
'Tha medicine hit er pretty hard...'
"I'm surprised she was awake when you got here."
'Should I leave?'
"Don't have to, the tv is in the back, as well as the game systems and I know you miss some of your saves...have at it, just be a little quite eh?"
She motioned to headphones hanging off the edge of her belt before smirking and running down the hallway, a bunch of kittens following after her as if she was headed to the newest place of gaming. Boe on the other hand sat down on the couch again, with a book in hand and was gonig to do what he always did....monitor. How else could he get to see her so at peace...or hopefully at peace for who knew when the dreams would hit her again.
If the nightmares came...oh.....
He stood at the thought, heading down the hallway to fetch her teddybear so that it would be there for her when she awoke. Teddy plus lap cat...that had to be enough to chase away any bad dreams.

"I think there's some foil in the kitchen...maybe if some is crumbled into a ball it might distract them a little. Always have shoe laces..."
Her voice was distant as she continued to watch them with a smile. The drawl of Boe's voice registered finally and her eyes flicked up to his with a tipped head a curious look. It was not a tone to his voice she'd heard before this moment.
The question she'd been prepared to ask flew right out of her head h however as her medicated state finally got the best of her, eyes dropping shut even as she stared at Boe, shoulders slumping, and her whole body relaxing as she fell asleep right then and there. A part of her felt bad for not being able to help herself with Charlie there, but that was just it. She couldn't help herself. Brae was lucky to have fought the medication as long as she had honestly. Her head started to slide sideways on the back of the chair, coming to a rest on the curved side of it, hair falling into her face as she slumbered oblivious to the stampede of kittens in her home, or her audience.

Finally the central figure took the podium. "Excuse me...your attention, if you please." He looked sort of out of place. He was dressed nicely enough...but he looked like he'd be more at home in a college classroom than on this cruise ship. He wore totally circular glasses and his head was completely bald, you suspect either by choice, or to cover actually balding.
He coughed. "Good Evening. I'll be your host this evening. Forgive me, I'm not much of a public speaker. I'm a biologist, turned to pokemon research by choice, and head of NAPL's Research and Development Department. My name is Poplar, Dr. Jeremiah Poplar, but you may call me any derivative of that you wish."
"You are a particularly lucky boatload of trainers-to-be...it is my pleasure to be able to introduce, to you, and to the North American League in General, that the final steps to solidifying a league of our own have been taken. Standing here with me are four exceptional talents. Taken with the pokemon world, it's mythos and it's mysteries, they became trainers, and developed and cultivated knowledge, talent, love and appreciation. These, are Officially the North American Pokemon League's Elite Four!" Applause breaks out.
He gestured first to Simon. "Simon Marshall, Our Prince of Psychics." He and Sera Both took a bow, though his had much more flourish...does that man ever stop smiling? "Sadako Hanamura, the Dark Prodigy." She looked up and waved to the crowd, one hand never stopping to scratch behind her Mightyena's ear. "Damon Swift River, the Metis Master of Ice." He bowed softly, smiling. "And lastly, Our Dainty Diva of Dragons, Tia Descarte." She curtsied softly, to a few catcalls, which she didn't take a liking to.
"With them in place, we will be able to host tournaments and large-scale events in short order. You will be able to meet and mingle with them in a little bit, but tonight, our core intent is to prepare you for the journey ahead with a short primer on the League, and it'd differences from the Pokemon World's. After this brief presentation, the night is yours...and with the day tomorrow, your journeys will be set into motion."

Boelin had to spend a moment or two regaining himself after being run over by the little holy terrors. It was worth it, sure, because Brae was laughing and enjoying herself and if he could just keep that smile and frame it...bottle it, whatever it took to keep her that way forever by god he would be the biggest jester of them all. Leaning back into the couch and looking around as the kittens were making a lap around the house, watching them with his eyes before looking up to Charlie.
"You gave them something before they got here...."
'I would never!'
"What was it....."
His cousin chuckled and his palm came up to his face, rubbing at his and then his temples. Wonderful. This episode of Kittens on Parade is brought to you by the sponsor of Catnip. And not so much as a toy in the house to keep them occupied, oh this was going to be brilliant.
'It was before, thankfully, and wasn't ma favorite shoes. Still though the lil heathen...'

Nesha waved back to Sadako as she also took note of her different pokemon. "She is also seamed very nice and friendly too, tho I do wished she stayed around a little longer were I could have finished my sketch.
Looking around to just see how many people were here and saw that there were more than she had ever seen in her whole life but her eyes kept wandering back to the Native American/Canadian man, he seamed like an intersting man and sorta familar but wasn't very posadive about it.

Audra smiled and waved back at Sadako. "She seems to be a really sweet girl. We met her briefly in the room. She had a different kind of Pokemon with her, however."
Audra quickly scanned the attendees as well as those on stage, it looked like quite the amalgamation of people, she liked that.

"Well yeah, technically this is a sport, and any sport is also a business."
"And by She, you mean that little girl? Come on, she's Six and she has a 'Pet'...a Big one. Of course she's proud, it makes her feel responsible, like a big kid. I hear on the world pokemon are from, you can't be licenced to keep one until you're 10. If that rule carried, that kid is a very special exception, another reason to be proud. She must have proven herself deserving."
Sadako spots the three of you and waves big. Simon recognizes Ben and waves, and Ben responds by avoiding eye contact.

Sungazer walked back from the buffet with a plate of food in each hand and his laptop under his arm. He stopped by Ben's table as the presentation began. Not arming his friendly disposition very well, he said slightly audibly, "They must make a lot of money... and she flaunts her familiar with such pride. I need... or rather, require my own of that prestige." He hissed as if he were a reptile.

(D'aww! Thanks)
"We all have someone like that, it seems. Y'ever notice a name? Everyone you meet by that name turns out to be a pain in your ass? For me, it's Steve. I dunno why, every Steve I know is a dick."
It seems we're just in time, as the presentation is about to begin...the head of the NAPL is preparing to begin. Flanking the Podium 2 to a side are four random-looking people. Sungazer, Audra and Nesha should easily recognize Sadako, who's getting a Mightyena to sit, lie down and roll over before giving it a treat. Ben recognizes Simon beside her, standing there silently with his Cloaked-and-hooded Mewtwo (As if no one knew by the shape of the cloak).
The other two are just as unusual. One is a woman dressed like a modern-day Southern Belle, she even has the accent as she chats amicably with a Native American/Canadian man, ordinary street clothes adorned modestly with traditional jewelery. No sign of the pokemon they keep, if any.

ooc: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHADE!
ic: "I know him more than I'd like to, I'm afraid," Audra sighed, the day had taxed her greatly already. She took a seat next to Ben.
She brushed the stray strands of hair from her face and leaned back. Her usual kindly smile returned. "I'm sorry for acting the way I did. It is not mine to judge."

Nisha looked at Audra and smiled. "Its ok, I just don't know how to deal with people all that much. Most of the time I live by myself with the animals that live around my house. But thanks for defending me I really do apreasate it." she said.
She followed Audra over to the table but and stood by and started to look around at the other people but keeping a hear to her friend.

Ben jumps a little as Audra's hands hit the table, and looks downright confused at your remark.
"Why are you apologizing for him? He just tried to kick me off this table, and I wasn't having it. You know him or something? ...Not by choice, I wager. You seem a better judge of character."
Realizing what he MIGHT have implied with that, he facepalms. "I meant that in the nicest way, Audra, seriously. I know his type. Competed with one for a position once. Neither of us got it."

Audra glared daggers at Ethan as he left. His words had NO effect on her, at least the ones that were directed at her. She looked at Nesha, every ounce of regret and guilt she felt was shown on her face, "I do so apologize about that whole fiasco. Ethan Marksworth is a vile serpent that wants nothing more than be above everyone else, but he's stuck slithering on the ground." She sighed, it wasn't in her nature to talk bad about anyone, even if it was Ethan and she believed every word that came out of her mouth.
She made her way towards a table, just in time to see Ethan stomp off in a tantrum. When she looked back at the man sitting at the table, her guilt surfaced again. Had Ethan said something to Ben, someone else she considered to be a friend? Was he just going to make life hell for anyone she talked to? She didn't doubt it.
She rushed over to the table, gracefully moving through the mass of people. She thrust her palms on the table and bowed to Ben. It might have seemed an awkward motion, but her grace was uncanny. "I am SO sorry for whatever that snake may have said to you."

Sungazer wandered the deck cautiously, taking little notice of the helicopter. As he pointed his laptop's webcam toward the dining hall, a light flashed on it and he opened it. He perused the screen, taking note of something specific. However, he seemed to notice more that people were leaving their tables. Not caring whether or not the table was confiscated, he sat down at one of the vacated tables and left his familiar and what appeared to be a moloch on it.
"Keep this table safe while I raid the FREE buffet," ordered Sungazer. "If you need your voice back, tell me." The gecko nodded while the moloch remained motionless as Sungazer went over to the buffet.

Nisha had just quietly followed Audra, as she watched all the people that passed them, as she could sometimes tell how people felt by just watching and for the fact that she really didn't like crouds all that much, too much information being passed around even if some of it wasn't intentionaly said or with there body. "I think that you are right," she replied.
Hearing some of the commets that others had made about her made, she did her best to not hear them, but she grew even more nervous and stared at the ground to try to ingore them more and pulling herself more inside of herself and Nesha was very glad when the helicopter drowed out the comments
Watching who came out of the helicopter, Nesha was polite in not saying anything as she really didn't know what to say. But hearing the commets from the rich boy and didn't like the comment he was saying about her, she could handle the wispers of the others but she didn't like the forwardness of this other and she started to growl lightly that was drowed out unless you were really close to her and then hearing the words that Audra said calling her a friend made her stop growling and she blushed and smile. She really didn't have many friends and it was really hard to keep them in the remote place she lived. Most of those she did care about were animals that lived near her place.

Ethan's smile dropped, his true nature emerging.
"Fine, have your little delusion. Like anyone hangs around a Tovildt for their personality. Try not to choke in my dust once we're trainers."
And off he went, inside, finding himself a table, and trying to evict the other guests...one just keeps eating though...so he sends his servant to try and do it.
"Sir, This table is now reserved for-" 'F*** off.' The figure just keeps eating. "Move, or be REmoved." Slowly, the figure looked up, the light reflecting off his rectangular glasses. "It's best you don't disturb me." Like the Jedi Mind Trick in action, the servant looks to Ethan. "It's best I don't disturb him." "I'm not to be trifled with." "He's not to be trifled with." "You should leave." "We should leave."
Ethan was dumbstruck. "What the...I'm not dealing with some...FREAK...we're out...I'll be sure security hears about this." And off they went.
"A**hole." It wasn't until after he was gone Ben realized what he did...and that no one that had been at the table returned. He inwardly cursed himself.

Audra's usually calm and kind demeanor was replaced by a silent fury that raged in her eyes as the helicopter touched down. She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms so hard that it felt like they were going to draw blood.
She did her best to ignore the comments that were made by Ethan, he never had any new material. That was, until he turned on Nesha.
Audra spun on her heel, the fury showing brightly in her eyes, but her voice was calm and cold. "If you knew me half as well as you THOUGHT you did, Ethan Marksworth, you would know that I do not need a babysitter, like some others on this ship apparently do. This is my FRIEND, Nesha Torin." she stressed the word, friend, "And I do not expect you to know such a term in its truest meaning."
There wasn't bad blood between the Tovildts and the Marksworths, Ethan even had been one of the younger Tovildt sisters' boyfriend (if not more) at one point in time. But there was obviously some bad blood between Audra and Ethan. Though Audra usually kept her calm and never let him get to her, calling Nesha a servant was not something she would stand for. If Ethan had any sense he'd drop the conversation and walk off.... if he was a coward, well, he might as well be wetting his expensive pants right now. Audra was more ferocious and relentless than a piranha when she attacked what she deemed wrong.

The whispering changed quickly after being muted out by the dull repeated thwapping of chopper blades, as a helicopter touched down on deck, forcing a great many people to make room. on it's side was a familiar logo, at least to Audra, being stuck listening to so much business talk at her job; Marksworth Incorporated. Their fingers were in most every pie they could get, if money could be made doing it, Marksworth was there. The CEO was of such reputation that people spoke the name as if it placed a bad taste in their mouth, and his son Ethan was a spoiled little celebutant (celebutard, people said in secret), as to make a certain hotel heiress seem genial and wholesome. And speaking of that, here he comes now complete in a rich blue suit and a servant/bodyguard pulling his luggage for him.
The crowd parts for him, and he doesn't seem to dignify anyone on the ship with a direct look. That is, until he recognizes...
"Audra Tovildt." He deviates from his path towards you. "The Poor Little Rich Girl herself. Still pretending you're not Old Money like the rest of us?" Despite the acidic comment, he's got a photogenic smile on...the kind you just wanna slap off.
Worse, he turns to Nessa beside you. "Hrm, you could finally be getting somewhere. I take it this is your...personal assistant?" He holds his chin in one hand and sweeps her over. "Not much to look at, but then, that's not your style. And she certainly doesn't say 'Leave us alone' like a proper serviceperson. I hope she has some 'mad ninja skills' or something to compensate, because she certainly doesn't intimidate..."

Audra made her way around the ship with Nessa until she saw a large gathering of people at several groups of doors. "Judging by the crowd, I'd say this would be the correct room for the food and the presentation."
As she moved towards the group it parted and the whispering began. Who was this girl with Audra? Was she a servant? She didn't look like she had money like Audra, so she certainly wasn't her friend. Audra's usually sweet smile was replaced with a stern scowl as she stomped through the mass of people.

Nessa had just enought time to get a quick sketch out before the pokemon had left. She was a little disapointed, but knew there would be more for her draw. She put her pad back into her back as she thought of what was said and was a little confused but let the thought go as there might be more information at a later time.
Following Audra out the door and stood next to her as well once out of the door. "I think your right about that as I feel a little lost here," she said as it had been a long time since she had been out without being able to see some trees somewhere.

"Come and face a worthy opponent!" came the prerecorded voice of the gecko to the two of them.
"You're not a pokemon," said Sungazer. "If you're going to interrupt this much and with intent to get me in trouble, I'm shutting you off until these gatherings are over." He pulled a jack out of the laptop. His familiar tried to talk and made gestures but no voice came out. With visible venom in the tone of his voice, he said, "Let's go to this... gathering." He trudged out of the room, muttering something about networking.

Audra went over the entire exchange in her head. "Washington, DC?" She thought that was where she had read the NAPL HQ was located. Audra audibly noted her slight confusion but disregarded it until a later time.
Audra turned towards the door and made her way out, waiting for Nessa. "We may want to just head for the opening ceremonies. By the time we find them, it will probably be time."

"Sorry about Ju-on, she's new, I'm still training her. I like Dark and Ghost pokemon, so I keep lots of them."
Ju-on lets out an eerie giggle.
"Every little kid should train one, then they won't be scared of the dark like I was...'cause now it's on MY side!" She hugs the ghost, who doesn't seem to like it much. "If I'm good, the NAPL people will let me keep a Spiritomb eventually! For now I just have Ju-On, and Amity, and Cerberus."
...How's a little kid like her have Three Pokemon Already? Nevermind they don't take very young kids as trainers easily...You're distracted by a beeping, it's Sadako's watch.
"Uh oh, I'm gonna be late! Nice to meet you, but I gotta go or Mr. Champlain will be upset! See you guys in Washington, maybe!" And just like that, she was gone.
...Wait, Washington? DC? Isn't that where you heard they were putting the League HQ? Why would...she...no WAY...

Nesha had never really seen a horror movie as at her place didn't have a tv as she never saw the need for one when she had the outdoors to explore and draw. So didn't get the whole thream but thought it was very cool. Getting over her little shock about the pokemon comming out of the tv, but thought its was very niffty. "I'm Nesha Torin," she said as she fished out her sketch pad and started to sketch the trainer and pokemon.

Audra curtsied back, smiling and completely unphased by the little girl and her Pokemon. "Audra Tovildt, eldest daughter of Henry Tovildt III."
Audra was honestly oblivious to the "theme" of this girl, she had never seen a horror movie of any kind. It's not that she was scared to, but she just had "better" things to do with her time. Audra just didn't see a point, granted that meant she'd missed out on other things too, but that was her choice.
She directed her attention to the Pokemon, obviously intrigued.

She took note of him, standing by the bed, wiggling and squirming quickly as his strong hands pulled back the covers. She slipped underneath them, lying very still and very close to him as he got comfortable. She laid on her side, her head on his chest, one of her legs draped over his, studying him for a moment before speaking. Her voice was soft almost purr like as she questioned, "Whatcha thinking about Tam? Doesn't that brain of yours ever get a rest besides when you are sleeping?" Snuggling against him even closer, her lips kissing his chest, her body drawing in the warmth of his. Her hands sought his, entwining his rough ones in hers, rubbing them gently. "I could give you a massage Tam if you'd like and try and relieve some of the pent up tension if you'd like." Her emerald green eyes sparkled, even in the moonlight that was just peeking in the curtains, creating a soft shadow in the room. She giggled almost as quickly as she had finished the statement, poking Tam's side playfully. "That is unless you have other ideas for releasing some tension tonight. Either or both will suit me Tam as I wish to serve & pleasure you on this evening. Has been a while and I have no other way of repaying or showing you the gratitude deep within me for all you have done for me." With that said she stretched upward and kissed his lips, her warmth and her hungry kisses hopefully conveying her intentions for the night.
